#36 We are back
Guess who is back
The All 4 Inclusion Pod has returned.......... did you miss us?
It's almost a brand new pod
It's a brand new format
All episodes under 10 minutes will be a real challenge but it's one we are up for
We will now be talking a lot more about our community and what impacts our community
Today we included the snow and ice
Some behind the scenes work with Isobel, Donna and Val
I mentioned Kay Paylor-Bent too

I'll be back.
Yeah, hey everyone. The All 4 Inclusion pod is starting up again and it's gonna be a lot different now. It's gonna be more sort of community based, more telling people what's going on, what we're doing. And we're still gonna be speaking to people, but every single episode will be under 10 minutes. That's 10 minutes of the episode. That doesn't include the introduction and the outro.
bit as well telling you to like, rate and subscribe which obviously we hope you do. So since we stopped doing the shows we have our mobile app which is launched that's something that's really exciting. We've done our second award ceremony so we're doing really well there I think and we've now got a lot more groups running.
So we have Sarah who still does the art group and that's growing and growing. That's on a Wednesday night. We have Claire who does a writing group on a Monday. Not every Monday, because Mondays are split with writing, bingo and photography. But what we've been doing since we've been off, well, we started up the Overcoming Adversity podcast.
which was more about branching out, listening to people who have a whole different range of difficulties. But the problem was we were struggling with time to edit the shows. So this is where this new format is coming. They're gonna be shorter, sharper episodes featuring.

Maybe just me talking. We could have guests. We could have multiple guests in one episode. But they'll all be less than 10 minutes. Bite-sized snaps. You might get two or three in a week. You might have to wait a week for one. But they will be coming out as regular as we can. And we're going to be hopefully editing them a lot quicker than we were before because they're shorter episodes.
So everyone has been facing some ice and snow recently. That's made life for some people harder. It's made it harder for people to get out. It's made it harder for people to check in on their loved ones. So make sure you're still picking up the phone. You're still checking in with everyone. You're still making sure that you see everyone and make sure everyone knows that they feel.
loved and heard etc because it's really really important especially with the darker evenings and people sat at home all day and really struggling it's good that they know that they're not alone that they're still cared for they're still loved especially when it's harder to to get out you know
If you go downtown, can you pick up some shopping for a neighbour? What else can you do? How can you be sort of kinder and more community focused? I know some of our members go to regular groups and they've been wary of the ice because people who are disabled might have physical injuries and
the slipping on icy conditions can be that little bit more likely for someone. They don't want to re-injure anything. It is beautiful to see some snow, some ice. We've opened up our photography groups and we've had some extra snow and ice photos going in there. Our topic this month is photos indoors. And that's one that people have really, really struggled with.
Scott Whitney (04:21.962)
is indoor photos. Despite it being suggested to do, I think someone mentioned that if you see something every single day, you don't really appreciate what it is and that it might be nice for someone. And it's also needing to get a little bit creative. What can you do? Can you get a nice angle? It's allowing people to see.
something behind the scenes behind, you know, see a little bit more about yourself, open up a little bit and talking about behind the scenes we posted today on our Instagram page, some behind the scenes footage of Donna and her mum Val going to see Isobel and we got them a photo shoot with Isobel. Isobel's really talented.
photographer in Manchester. She's disabled herself and we love to give back to other people within the disabled and disability community. today I jumped on a live on Instagram with Cat Paler Bent. She's got a really exciting.
Scott Whitney (05:52.866)
with Kat Payler-Bent. She's got a really exciting project coming up at the moment. I won't say what it is, but I might try and get Kat on here and let her talk about it. Getting Kat on and keeping the episode shorter than 10 minutes might be hard, but we'll do our best. We'll do our best. I'm sure she's a pro at it now. So look.
I'm going to go, I'm going to leave you, but if you've not checked out our mobile app yet, do so. We have some great events and blogs and forum things on there. We have a whole range of podcasts on there. So it's not only this podcast. We've also got disabled and proud by Brook Millhouse on there. We've got a, we've got podcasts by a whole range of people that, that fit within the all 4 inclusion.
values should I say? You know that we don't have any control over those podcasts obviously but they're podcasts that we love to hear and we're trying to just put everything in one place so it's easy for someone to come and search for podcasts on their chosen topic. So I'll catch you all soon.
